On May 11, 2016, Max Scherzer joined the 20 strikeout club, a club with only three other members. Kerry Wood, Roger Clemens, and Randy Johnson are the only others to reach the mark in a 9 inning start. The record was pushed forward by some of the greatest arms in big league history to get to this point, and there may never be another starter to reach 20 again.
